Common Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea)

Foxgloves are a low-maintenance staple of many flower gardens and are especially at home in informal cottage gardens.  They are typically biennials; producing a rosette of leaves in their first year, and flowering in the second.  Tall spires of bell-shaped blooms range from white to purple.  They will self-seed readily, so you can enjoy foxgloves for years to come.  Note that all parts of foxgloves are toxic - don't eat!
