English Walnut Hybrid (Dooley Seedlings)

These walnut hybrids are seedlings of the cultivar 'Dooley', a rare black walnut x English walnut cross.  The mother tree was open pollinated, likely by an English walnut so seedlings have an appearance much like an English walnut, with thin easy cracking shells while having greater cold hardiness imparted from their black walnut ancestor.

They should be planted in a full sun location and given lots of room to grow.

Note that the large 'Oversize' walnuts are pickup only and cannot be shipped at this time. They are monsters.

Note that we sometimes trim taller trees down to their described height in order to not have to pass additional shipping costs on to our customers. In our experience this has almost no effect on their growth even in the first year of growth after planting. The ample roots make sure of it!
